Our Senior Lettings Consultant, Tracy Cook, has recently celebrated her first, hopefully of many, anniversaries with our Lettings Department. Such a milestone offers an opportunity for reflection on how she’s found life at Mackenzie Smith so far.

“Coming from a large corporate agent, where there are, in my opinion, just too many tenancies, working at Mackenzie Smith has been a breath of fresh air. We can offer a far more personal service, which is better suited to my style of working, where the customer is the most important aspect. When you contact Mackenzie Smith, the member of staff you speak to is the point of contact you will deal with pretty much throughout your experience with us, whether as a landlord or tenant, and you are not passed from department to department to have your query answered. 

Spending time with the customer and ensuring that their needs and requirements are met is our priority. From a landlords perspective, we want to find the right tenant for their property and from a tenants point of view, the right property for their specification. Making sure a property is fully compliant and ready for occupancy is crucial, as this usually attracts the best quality tenants.

At Mackenzie Smith, the fee quoted is the fee charged, there are no additional extras that you are not made aware of, such as copy documents, additional visits and meeting contractors for maintenance works, which I have known from first hand experience in previous setups, to culminate in significant additional fees.

Ultimately, the satisfaction of helping someone secure the right property continues to be the favourite aspect of my job.”
