Gavin began his estate agency career in Weybridge in 1988, soon after leaving school. In the 30 years that followed, he secured career-climbing roles in London and Hampshire before joining Mackenzie Smith in 2017. Such hands-on experience in a range of different positions in the industry has turned Gavin into somewhat of a perfectionist, and he prides himself on picking up on the intricate details that his peers may miss.
Away from managing Mackenzie Smith’s Yateley branch, Gavin likes to keep active. He takes part in several marathons throughout the year and can often be seen out training in the local countryside.
We meet such a mixture of people every single day, it’s great to be able to offer help and advice to both those taking their first steps on the ladder, but also those who know what they want from a move, and of course what to expect from their agent.

Paul is a highly experienced property professional, having worked within the industry across a range of local towns and villages; Yateley, Camberley, Fleet, Farnborough, Hartley Wintney and Odiham, over the last 30 years. Paul offers exceptional local knowledge; combined with his professional background he also lives in Frimley where his sons went to school, this helps Paul to come up with valuations that take into account community assets as well as a property’s design and footprint. Yateley offers a variety of conveniences, from good local schools, public houses, local amenities and a variety of sporting clubs. The town is also well connected with direct links to London, Reading, Aldershot and Guildford, with nearby Camberley offering rail services to London. The Green, centrally located within Yateley, offers a large open Greenland with a play area and is well-regarded locally; home to a number of community events throughout the year.
Yateley is a suburban town and civil parish in Hampshire. It lies in the north eastern corner of Hart District and includes the settlements of Frogmore and Darby Green.
There are excellent schools, good local public houses, a supermarket and Yateley Cricket and Hockey Club is situated adjacent to the Blackwater Valley golf course, off Chandlers Lane.
Yateley is a relatively low density town, with a real mix of homes serving families, retirement, down sizers and much more.
The area has been relatively undeveloped for a number of years, with the majority of the homes dating back to the eighties, with a great selection of more period properties in the charming surrounding villages of Eversley and Finchampstead. There is some new development coming to the area, introducing new family homes with the benefit of Help to Buy available.
The average asking price for a house stands in the region of £440,000 – higher than the typical sale price for a Hampshire property.
Those in the market to buy a flat can expect prices at an average of £250,000, though these are hard to come by in this area, which is predominantly built around family homes.
With a number of larger properties enjoying countryside views, generous gardens and rural locations, the average price for a 5 bedroom home is £750,000.
Those looking to rent a property in Yateley will be pleasantly surprised to find that the town boasts a buzzing rental market.
Average rent in Yateley stands at around £1,200pcm. However, single occupants or couples will be able to locate a smart 1 bedroom property for approximately £770pcm.
Similar to properties for sale, the majority of the rental homes available are suitable for families; predominantly 3 bedroom houses.
