In the 30 years that followed, he secured career-climbing roles in London and Hampshire before joining Mackenzie Smith in 2017. Such hands-on experience in a range of different positions in the industry has turned Gavin into somewhat of a perfectionist, and he prides himself on picking up on the intricate details that his peers may miss.
Away from managing Mackenzie Smith’s Yateley branch, Gavin likes to keep active. He takes part in several marathons throughout the year and can often be seen out training in the local countryside.

From an office manager to working in construction, Gavin tried it all when he was young. It took his own home buying experience, however, to realise that a career in property could be for him. Thankfully, some of the skills Gavin had acquired in former roles turned out to be perfect for the property industry, and he’s now been helping people buy and let property for over 5 years. His outgoing nature, attention to detail and knowledge of the market have long made him a firm customer favourite.
Gavin’s main interests outside of work lie in music. He DJs and plays the guitar in his spare time, with 60s Mod culture often influencing his tastes.
Paul Phelan, Senior Client Manager
Paul is a highly experienced property professional, having worked within the industry across a range of local towns and villages; Yateley, Camberley, Fleet, Farnborough, Hartley Wintney and Odiham, over the last 30 years. Paul offers exceptional local knowledge; combined with his professional background he also lives in Frimley where his sons went to school, this helps Paul to come up with valuations that take into account community assets as well as a property’s design and footprint. Day-to-day, Paul likes the people side of the property industry, meeting and helping clients from all backgrounds.

Yateley is a suburban town and civil parish in Hampshire. It lies in the north eastern corner of Hart District and includes the settlements of Frogmore and Darby Green. There are excellent schools, good local public houses, a supermarket and Yateley Cricket and Hockey Club is situated adjacent to the Blackwater Valley golf course, off Chandlers Lane.
