North Camp

North Camp is conveniently located for access to the A331 which offers access to the M3(Heathrow) and the South Coast and A3 (London) via the A31 (Hogs Back). North Camp railway station serves Reading-Gatwick via Guildford and Ash Vale station is also nearby with services to London Waterloo and Weybridge. The playing fields at King George V offer relaxation and fun for the children with a newly equipped playground and is used by Cove Football Club. A short distance from North Camp is the Militry town of Adershot (Home to the British Army who hold an annual event in July (Army Show) on the playing fields along Queens Avenue.

Farnborough Airfield is situated in the North Camp area, established in 1908 with the creation of His Majesty’s Balloon Factory and subsequently becoming the Royal Aircraft Establishment. After TAG took control of the airport from the ministry of defence, it invested in a series of new infrastructure projects, including the very impressive Aviator Hotel on the main Farnborough Road, a new radar unit, a resurfaced runway, construction of a new control tower, a large hangar unit, and finally a brand new terminal building that opened in 2006. ‘The Village’ was also constructed, consisting of another hotel with private health club, Starbucks, Verve grill and restaurant. 

The development, designed by Reid Architecture, won a series of awards and was put forward as a nomination for Building of the Year in 2007. The Terminal was officially opened by HRH Prince Andrew. The airport is home to a number of the UK’s largest business jet companies.
