You’ll have likely seen our Open House events promoted each week. Across our five branch network we will often schedule open house viewings for a Saturday to maximise the potential interest and reduce the time and inconvenience for the owner.
Open House events can be a great way of promoting your home. Not only does it give us further opportunities to shout from the rooftops about your house being for sale, but it also helps to focus the interest of any potential buyers. Open Houses can be a great way of speeding up the process too, condensing all interests into one day.
A lot of success can often be seen when an Open House showcases a property for sale in a particularly sought after area, as was the case with 9 Greenleas in Frimley.
This three bedroom link detached home can be found in a quiet cul de sac setting just a short walk from Frimley hospital, Frimley park and local schools, making it a highly desirable location.
Along with a sought after setting, the property also benefits from no onward chain and a generous plot with spacious living areas throughout. However, the home was presented as a home with potential as it required some attention to modernise.
The property was listed at £385,000 prior to our Open House event in February. Following promotion of the property and the event, we welcomed 36 interested parties to view the home in just a couple of hours, with 9 offers placed over the following day or so, all of which above the asking price. With the opportunity of selecting the right buyer, the vendor went on to sell for £405,000 with the buyer having already sold their property, in a strong position for a quick completion.
This is just one example of the levels of success that can be seen with an Open House event. This is simply one tactic we employ to ensure your home is promoted to the right audience and sold to the best buyer, for the best price. The events are rarely full day and can even be as short as 1.5 hours to avoid inconveniencing the owner.
