Organised trails in Odiham and Farnham

Why not enjoy the outdoors with an exploration of the picturesque and historical villages of Farnham and Odiham with organised trails! 

The first treasure hunt trail begins at Colt Hill. All ages from 6 are able to participate, whether you face the challenge as a family or even with a group of friends. It is easy to get involved with a trail booklet covering 4-5 people, and available to download online here for a small fee, or through the post within a few days. 

A murder mystery trail is being held in Farnham Castle and the town. With free entry into the castle, the trail explores Farnham’s charming historic market town streets. Alternatively, a spy mission trail at Farnham Maltings Meadow offers a location passing beautiful the Weyside Water meadows as well as The Maltings. Booklets are available here.

Summer fun at Birdworld

For another fantastic fun day out, take a trip to Birdworld. Have a chat with the colourful parrots, taking a look at the penguins and encountering owls! A wide variety of other birds are also on show, with marine life in Underwater World as well as farm animals in Henny Wren’s Farm. Birdworld is hosting a ‘Summer of Fun’, starting 23rd July, younger children will love the extra shows from Chubby the Clown and Crazee Hazee, as well as arts and craft activities.

Simulator racing in Farnborough

If you do have a day with bad weather, don’t despair! Take the kids for some exciting, fast-paced action at Ignition in Farnborough. Suitable for ten years and above, Ignition plays host to simulator gaming pods which provide participators with some life-like racing action! With a selection of car designs and a wide variety of tracks to choose from, games are available for individuals or for groups, with open sessions of 15 minutes costing £3.75 per race.

Cool off with water sports in Sandhurst

In this lovely hot weather, some cooling water sports could be just what you need! Horseshoe Lake Activity Centre provides a wealth of activities, with paddleboarding, sailing dinghies, windsurfing, kayaking and open canoeing available to all of the family, as well as summer holiday activities for the children. Interact with local history at Aldershot

Aldershot Military Museum host a selection of activities to suit the whole family, with indoor and outdoor activities. Try out the replica scout vehicle or remote control tank track, you might find it rewarding to discover more about the pottery of Farnborough and Cove, in The Local History Gallery, with a refreshing stop in the café.

Family fun at the Four Kingdoms

Visit the popular Four Kingdoms in Headley, hosting a Royal British Legion weekend on the 21st -22nd of July, promising ideal family fun. Presenting knight shows, archery, 20th-century military vehicles and even futuristic Stormtroopers, this will be a fun family show! The Four Kingdoms further offers a wide variety of family activities all year round, including a petting zoo, laser tag and giant slides.

Fleet Beer Fest and summer concert

Fleet Lions club is busy this summer, hosting their 13th beer fest on Saturday 3rd August with tickets on sale now. Raising funds for local charities, this year’s event boasts a whopping 50 real ales and ciders from near and far, as well as the traditional hog roast and music.

The club’s other sponsored event; a summer concert in Elvetham Heath, offers entertainment for all of the family, on Saturday 13th July, with free entry. Held in the Church on the Heath, the summer concert provides a variety of amateur entertainment including acting, musical theatre, verse and prose and more.
