Although we have known it for some time it takes a survey to really spell it out…Hart District has been named the best place to live in the UK…for the second year running!

The district, named after the River Hart is one of the least deprived areas in the UK with residents experiencing one of the highest life expectancies in the UK. The survey by the Halifax Bank found that people in the area enjoy good health, high employment, low crime, high quality schools and benefit from being surrounded by beautiful countryside; with 84 square miles of green wooded landscape in this corner of Hampshire and the country’s larges freshwater lake Fleet Pond in Fleet.

There is no short supply of pleasant countryside; there are the nature reservations  (e.g. Elvetham Heath), lakes nearby, the Basingstoke Canal and many of the village centre round a village green, like Hartley Wintneys historic cricket green, perhaps that’s why the residents tend to take up more sport and be more active. These active communities could also contribute to the low crime rate.

Our clients and their properties to sell predominantly come from the many towns and villages in Hart District including; Fleet, Elvetham Heath, Church Crookham, Crookham Village, Dogmersfield, Crondall, Hartley Wintney, Hook, Greywell (previous winner of the best kept vilage in Hampshire), Heckfield, Mattingley, Long Suotton, Odiham, Rotherwick, Eversley, Ewshot, North Warnborough, South Warnborough, Winchfield and Yateley.

There is a great demand for property in the area from local buyers and from may buyers out of the area. There has definately been a surge of enquiries so if you are thinking of selling your home please get in touch to see how we can help, starting with a thorough market appraisal and valuation. We may have a buyer on our books lookign for a property just like yours.
