Spectacular festive fun in Farnborough

Farnborough is where the fun is this week, with some fantastic Christmas events, guaranteed to lift your festive spirits!

Christmas Lights

A mesmerizing solar system display will dazzle, with Christmas Lights with a difference! See the switch-on, 11 am, Saturday 27th November at Princes Mead Shopping Centre. Jedi balloon artists will also be there, whilst magical science demonstrations will fill the children with awe and curiosity. 

Frost Fair

Continue the festive fun with Farnborough’s Frost Fair, hosted in Queensmead on the same day, from 10 am-4 pm. 

Enjoy the musical melodies of Christmas, with stage performances by local bands, choirs, and dance schools, as well as traditional brass bands.

Packed with activities, there will be face painting, Juggling Jake’s circus act, festive donkeys, fair rides, and even birds of prey.

The icing on the cake could well be Frost Fair’s Christmas market, with forty stalls stocked with local produce, handmade gifts, decorations, and hand-crafted jewellery.

FREE Christmas Grotto

Enjoy the FREE Christmas Grotto, starting on Sunday 28th November at Princes Mead, with selected dates continuing through December. Father Christmas will tell tales of his adventures to the children at the rocket-themed event, where they can have a photo taken with him as well as receive a present. Christmas fun in December

Entertaining Christmas activities continue in Farnborough town centre through December!

Street theatre acts in Queensmead add to the fun. See Santa and his avionic reindeer on Sunday 5th December, The Christmas Carriage & Angies Festive Funky Hooping on Sunday 12th, Dickensian Ding Dong & Cocky Robins on Saturday 18th, and The Victorian Gentleman Juggler and Liver Cottage Christmas on Sunday 19th.

Spaceman & Rocket Girl offers sci-fi-themed fun at Princes Mead on Saturday 4th, and you can join Carol and Belles Christmas Party in Queensmead on Sunday 5th.

Brass bands will be playing in Queensmead on Saturday 18th and Sundays up to the 19th December, and there will be crafting for the children. 

Southwood Infant School Christmas Fayre

Plunge into the Christmas festivities at this fun-packed Christmas Fayre, hosted by Friends of Southwood Infants School.

Food, music, games, and crafts will all be offered on 27th November from 10am-1pm.

You can also book a Santa Boarding Pass to the Santa’s Grotto at the event. Featuring storytelling from Santa to small groups so that brothers and sisters can be together. Children will also receive a gift, but places are limited, so act quickly!

Winter Wonderland

Enjoy a spot of Christmas fun for the grown-ups at The Squirrel, held on two nights on Friday 26th and Saturday the 27th November, from 8pm.

Come in themed fancy dress to enter the costume competition, and enjoy festive food and drinks. You can reserve your place, here
