Stephen is no novice to running, having completed the Fleet Half Marathon several times. He happily talks of his experiences.
“I like the course and actually achieved my personal best at Fleet Half Marathon. It was one of my first ever races a long time ago. I enjoy running events, I've done them for years. There is a real sense of achievement – plus the medals are stacking up!” Stephen Down, Assistant Branch Manager.

Stephen gets plenty of practice and keeps fit by running and playing football, both twice a week. Clearly relishing a bit of competition, Stephen also enters the London Marathon every year. Hoping to participate again in October, he eagerly awaits his ballot result.
“To me, running a half marathon is no obstacle. I train regularly at distances of 6-10 miles, so turning up to do an extra 3 is not a problem! I’m actually running 50 miles in June for Alzheimer's Research UK.” Stephen Down, Assistant Branch Manager
