“We’ve seen a substantial increase in activity over the summer months with huge demand for family houses in and around the village.
The pent up demand following lockdown 1.0 was immediately evident with applicant registrations, viewing and sales hitting levels that we have not seen since pre-Brexit.
The London buyers have been keen to escape the confines of the city and key search criteria include outside space, home offices, and access to open countryside.
Going into the winter months, it, for now, seems that buyers are hoping to benefit from the stamp duty holiday which is due to finish at the end of March 2021.
The industry as a whole has petitioned the government to extend this for an additional six months but there has been no clarity or indication that this will happen as of yet, though we will keep you informed of any changes and updates.
For now, we will continue to make hay while the autumn sun shines in this beautiful village.”
