We are very fortunate to live in an area of outstanding beauty, where there is always something great going on. If you are thinking about moving to Surrey or Hampshire, the ‘Things To Do In Half Term’ list will give you a great idea of some of the adventures our two home counties have to offer.

Family time
The birthplace of British motorsport, Brooklands Museum near Weybridge is a great place to go for somehalf term fun. They will be helping kids to explore the science behind speedthis time round. During half term, kids can join the pit-crew for a fun andhands-on session and Brooklands’ popular car rides will operate from 11am to1pm and from 2pm to 3.30pm (subject to weather). Don’t miss the opportunity totake a ride on a vintage bus around the local area with London Bus Museum.
Treat the children to a day at Bocketts Farm near Leatherhead, where they have a packed programmeof fun and activities in store. With over 70 new born lambs due, pony rides,cute rabbits to cuddle and feed and the many wonderful farm animals to meet,you can enjoy a full day of entertainment at Bocketts Farm.
Celebrate the blooming of spring at RHS Garden Wisley near Woking with fun activities, including trailsand gardening workshops. The spectacular Giant Houseplant Takeover is alsorunning in RHS Garden Wisley’s Glasshouse during this time.
The British WildlifeCentre near Lingfield is a perfect destination for little wildlife loversand explorers. Walk through the red squirrel enclosure, traverse the wetlandboardwalk and enjoy keeper talks and the much-loved owl flying displays.
Art + crafts
Watts Gallery –Artists’ Village in Compton is a fabulous place to visit at any time ofyear, but early spring is ideal for making the most of the gorgeous grounds andwoodland. After wandering around the gallery and the Artists’ Village, meanderthrough the lawns and woodland and book onto one of the half termworkshops.
Searching for inspiration? The Sculpture Park near Farnham is hard to beat. Take yourself on aself-guided tour of the 800 or sculptures nestled in ten acres of arboretum andwater gardens. Walk as far as you want to and at your own pace. Can you findthe giant wyvern dragon?
Plan a visit to the WWF’sLiving Planet Centre in Woking and explore the extraordinary habitats ofanimals. Find out more about our amazing planet on one of the fantasticworkshops.

Bounce into happy this school holiday at AirHop indoor trampoline park inGuildford. With trampolines from wall towall, this is ultimate fun for bounce enthusiasts whatever the weather – and agreat way to tire the kids out too!
Looking after under 12s over the half term break and lookingfor away for them to expend some energy indoors, while you enjoy a spot of teaand cake? Head to Wacky Kingdom, anexciting soft play centre located in Redhill.
Visit GuildfordSpectrum to keep your children active. With so many activities, includingbowling, swimming, ice skating, trampolining and more, there is no chance ofthem getting bored!
Get in the swing at Topgolfin Addlestone. Topgolf is a game that anyone can play (and win!). Points arescored by hitting micro-chipped golf balls at giant dartboard-like targets.
Cycling enthusiasts should head over to St Martha-on-the-Hill church this half term for the start of theDowns Link and beautiful views. This 37 miles bike trail follows a disusedrailway line between the North Downs and South Downs.
You are never too far from stunning countryside andwonderful parks and gardens in Surrey. Spend a day exploring beautiful Virginia Water Lake. Discover the ruinsof Leptis Magna, the ornamental cascade waterfall and the towering 100-footTotem Pole.
