Last minute summer activities

Are you looking for something to entertain the children before the summer holiday ends? Perhaps you would just like a rest from the children, or maybe you are looking for something different to do?

If you want to enjoy the outdoors and do something hands-on with the children, join the Yateley Common Rangers for a summer event on the 24th August. For just £5 you and the children can try building a stone age shelter. Spaces are limited, so do book now to avoid disappointment.

Open all week from 10am – 4pm, fascinate the children at the local Aldershot Military Museum. from just £3.25. Wow the children with the real-life tank and canon, and keep them busy with hands-on activities inside the museum. Pop into the café for refreshments whilst you’re there or even take a picnic.

Visit Farnborough Air Sciences Trust Museum, open on the weekends and bank holiday Monday and see the children in awe at their vast collection of real and model aircraft, satellites, and simulators. Guided tours of the museum and areas of Farnborough’s historic aviation quarter are also available.

If you need, childcare provision, Club Energy is running a holiday club at Greenfields Junior School in Hartley Wintney. The children can participate in a wide range of activities including parachute games, fancy dress, face painting, and athletics. Separate groups for age ranges 4-5, 6-8 and 9-12 year olds are being run, with standard and extended days provided, from 8am – 6pm.

If your children thrive on physical activity or are difficult to get motivated this late in the summer holidays, a day pass to Fit For Sport Activity Camp at Hart Leisure Centre could be what they need! A good range of activities is provided, with a Fun Factory, Creative Zone, Super Sports, Fit Factor, and swimming. The camp covers age groups from 5-6, 7-8, and 9-12.

Book a day or two and drop the children off at Koosa Kids Super Summer Adventure. Currently based in Aldershot, Hook, and Fleet, they offer a great range of activity days for 4-13 year olds. Action-packed Olympians, (weather dependent) Wet ‘n’ Wild water games, go-karting, arts & crafts, and football will all let the children blow off some steam!
