We’ve all done it; viewed a property and felt ‘the feeling’ as soon as you step over the threshold. I myself have had the same experience, in all of the properties I have lived in, and personally I wouldn’t move in without it.

However, some of the more logical of you will judge a property on other merits like proximity to transport links, catchment areas and re-sale value. But what happens when you are heart and your partner is head?

The truth is neither are incorrect. It’s about using both head and heart together to find the best solution. With differing opinions you are better situated to get an objective, 360 degree view and work through the pro’s and cons.

Following your heart is seen as a more emotional response, and house buying is an emotional process, especially if it is your first home; It’s a huge step to take and possibly the largest investment you are likely to make so expert financial and legal advice should be a given.
