COVID-19 Safety Guidelines

May 13, 2020

Following the government’s guidance, our branches have now re-opened.

Normal contact details and opening hours apply.

To ensure the safety of our colleagues, clients and local communities, the following guidelines must be observed in our branches, on viewings and on valuations.

Across all instances, we ask that you remain 2m away from any other person and that you wear a mask.

Please let us know if you are shielding or in self-isolation. If you or a member of your household is exhibiting any symptoms or feeling unwell, please inform us as soon as possible.

These policies will be continually reviewed and amended in line with further government guidelines advice.

You can access the government’s latest guidance here.

When visiting us in branch:

  • On arrival, please scan the QR code using the NHS track and trace app.
  • You will be greeted with a reception desk at the front of the office with a Perspex screen, to be cleaned after every visitor
  • Only 2 visitors permitted at any time

Valuations:

  • In advance, please make sure all internal doors are open and lights switched on
  • Your Mackenzie Smith representative will wear fresh PPE (gloves/mask)
  • On arrival, please open the door and step away 2m, this distance must be maintained throughout the appointment

Viewings:

  • 2 people maximum
  • Only possible where the owner allows and is able to responsibly socially distance, with confirmation that all parties are feeling well
  • If occupied, owners must allow entry to the property and then preferably wait in the garden/go for a walk or where this is not possible, social distancing must be maintained
  • Buyers/Tenants must remain in their vehicle or off the property grounds until the agent advises it is ok to proceed
  • Buyers/Tenants and Mackenzie Smith representatives must wear clean gloves and refrain from touching anything. Where door handles and light switches need to be used, Mackenzie Smith will do so and clean after the viewing
  • All buyers/tenants should wear a mask, as will your Mackenzie Smith representative.
