On Saturday 6th June we are holding an Open House for a chance to view this pretty character cottage that is need of total refurbishment. This charming property was formerly two properties, joined together many years ago, and is set within the rural hamlet of Hazeley Heath and features glorious views over countryside to the rear.
The hamlet of Hazeley Heath comes under the parish of Mattingley and borders the much sought after village of Hartley Wintney Within the hamlet is beautiful heathland, from which it takes its name. The heathland is a wonderful example of lowland heath and as such, is very rare and a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
The front door opens into an entrance hall where there are doors to the living room, dining room, kitchen and a half glazed door concealing the stairs to the first floor. The reception rooms lie to either side of the hall and both look over the front of the property. There is a redbrick open fireplace to the living room as well as a timber ceiling beam and a built in storage cupboard and the dining room features a modern tiled fireplace.
The property currently has two kitchens both of which are at rear of the property and look out over the garden.
Upstairs are three bedrooms; the front aspect master bedroom has a door to an eaves storage space that contains a large cloakroom which lends itself to conversion to an en suite bathroom. The second bedroom has a front aspect window and the third bedroom is an internal room with access to the roof space.
To the rear of the property is a westerly garden with timber outbuildings and the remnants of the original cottage garden including areas of planting and a large soft fruit patch. The garden extends in excess of 100ft and has glorious uninterrupted views over farmland to the rear boundary.
