Many are drawn to the serene lifestyle on offer in this rural village, largely thanks to the excellent work-life balance enjoyed by the locals. With accomplished professionals calling Hartley Wintney home, it’s no wonder the village offers such a relaxed, welcoming environment. This appeal drives high demand for property, often surpassing supply.
The community spirit in Hartley Wintney is a superb example of the village environment. The recent Fun Run, organised with the Friends of Green Oaks PTA, was exactly as named – fun, with a relaxed atmosphere. It was a superb reminder that we are all part of something bigger – and that every effort counts. The event brought families, friends, and businesses together, and it was the perfect demonstration of how teamwork can achieve great things.
Hartley Wintney residents enjoy excellent amenities right at their doorsteps. The historical high street, with its eclectic mix of independent stores, is a major draw. The beautiful ancient commons provide a perfect setting for a leisurely dog walk. Like others locally, I also walk my dog at Hazeley Heath Nature Reserve. With varied terrain offering tranquil beauty spots such as wooded areas, a stream, and far-reaching views, it’s a favourite spot for cyclists, horse-riders and joggers alike, not to mention the various wildlife, sometimes even deer.
The renowned cricket green and popular golf course are great places to enjoy your favourite sport, socialise, or just kick back and relax. Reputable local schools, from state to private, also make Hartley Wintney an excellent place to raise a family. With picturesque hamlets in surrounding areas offering an architectural aesthetic with a dynamic historical mix, there is also plenty of interest nearby. Accessibility to London and airports is convenient too, with those who commute benefitting from excellent links via the A30, also leading to the M3.
With the community right at the heart of what they do, and a superb lifestyle, it’s easy to see why the village of Hartley Wintney is such a happy and relaxed place to call home.
