Ewshot Gardens is a private development, only a stone’s throw from the tranquil countryside of Fleet.  Consisting of just 49 units, Ewshot Gardens is well laid out with a landscaped central green space providing a lovely focal feature for the community.  The development accommodates seven variants of properties, which include a series of two, three, four and five bedroom homes.  A few of the homes have been completed and after a sneaky tour around one of the properties, it is evident the bar has been set high with the design and execution of these homes.

The home I had the chance to view was one of the Appleby style builds, a spacious three bedroom house.  On approaching the property, the bold red brick, which contrasts a bright white timber door created a striking impression. Coupled with tall panelled windows and peaked charcoal coloured roofing, the home makes a style statement to make its presence known. Despite being surrounded by the building site it currently sits on, the home evidently has a touch of glamour.  The tour around the property reinforced this and exhibited a truly exceptional home.

The Appleby is very spacious with a footprint of over 1700 square feet. The architect, has thoughtfully optimised the use of space and light to create a practical environment for the whole family to enjoy.  It is the thoughtful little touches that made this home that little extra special, giving it versatility and adding to it some functional substance. The utility space for example, which has been created in a storage cupboard on the first floor. Genius! 9 times out of 10 we carry our washing downstairs, so why not just have the facilities upstairs and out of the way? It will surely give the children, or your partner even, one less excuse for not doing the washing.

The living room amongst its luxurious comforts, benefits from a study space which is enclosed by wooden doors. This allows you to then make use of the rooms and space to suit your lifestyle.  The study, for instance, could be used as a snug or even a play room, neatly hiding the endless number of toys the children have accumulated over the years.  Similarly, on the first floor, the stupendously vast office space could be used as an occasional guest room or even a games room.  It would surely be a great bonus to a family with growing children and allows room for you to grow into the home…. making it possibly even your forever home?

It is the precision of the finer details and finishing within this build, that have set the bar for this high specification home. On entry to the Appleby, it was evidently a chic and contemporary space, which quite naturally encompasses crisp clean lines, soften by neutral tones to create a welcoming and relaxed environment. The kitchen beautifully exhibits this, tidying away all essentials (even the bins) behind glossy doors and shiny worktops, which sparkle brightly against the subtle lighting. The same design specification has been followed throughout the home with soft neutral welcoming tones.

Excuse the pun, but the icing on the cake of this home has to be the second floor, the master suite. Abundant with light, through inset lighting and large sky lights, it radiates grandeur and exclusivity.  Quite simply ‘wow‘. This master suite spans the whole of the second floor. The vast space finished with soft carpeting and neutral tones, is a tranquil and serene environment for you to unwind in and get away from the stresses of the day.  A large en suite shower room and an exceptionally large dressing room form part of the master suite. The dressing room is a dream for the shopaholic or a devotee of fashion or even the extremely organised individual, offering ample space for you to showcase your treasured belongings.

The tour around the Appleby was truly aspirational.  The home has effectively fulfilled its design specification of being on trend, whilst also encapsulating a simple yet functional requirement.
