Mackenzie Smith Team to Run Fleet Half Marathon

We are pleased to be Event Partners with the Fleet Half Marathon this year.

In addition Roxanne Lewington and Tara Skinner will be running the Fleet Half Marathon on Sunday 22^nd March, just a few weeks away, in aid of local charity the Fleet Pond Society.

For both runners, from Mackenzie Smiths’ Marketing Team based in Fleet, this will be their first running event, or the first one in a long time.

“I have never run a half marathon before and am quite daunted. Having signed up just 8 weeks before the event and with no pre-existing exercise regime the training has been a bit of a shock to the system, but I’m determined to finish it, even if it does mean training after a long day at work” Roxanne commented.

Clearwater Campaign and for materials for volunteers to use at their regular volunteering days where people come together to maintain this site of scientific interest.

This campaign is be a partnership between Fleet Pond Society, Hart District Council, Natural England, the Environmental Agency and other interested parties. The major funding campaign will draw on government and non-governmental sources wherever possible to fund a substantial restoration programme of Fleet Pond.

This will include projects to benefit people by providing more seating, more and better Information Boards, improving the footpaths and bridges, repairing and installing more fishing jetties.

This kind of improvement will continue to maintain Fleet pond as the jewel in the crown of the most desirable place to live in the UK (Halifax survey), Hart District.
