Help to Buy at Fleet Mill, reserve by 31st October

October 23, 2022

With just a few apartments remaining at the popular development of Fleet Mill, time is running out to reserve your brand new home, especially if you are looking to benefit from the Government’s Help to Buy equity loan scheme which closes on 31st October.

Fleet Mill offers a superb location, close to the town centre, mainline train station, and motorway access. Whether you want great commuting, to visit your favourite spot on the coast, or socialise and shop in Fleet’s wide range of independent boutique shops, Fleet Mill is an ideal base.

Stunning, bright, and airy apartments offer spacious open plan living, stylish bathrooms, and en suites, with luxurious kitchens providing a full range of integrated appliances. Each home comes with at least one allocated parking space, with further visitor spots available.

If you’re looking to buy your first home, it can be tough to know what’s affordable, and how soon you could be moving.

The first step would be to speak to an independent financial advisor. There’s no pressure, no formality, it’s just a simple introductory conversation where they can discuss your affordability, what you’ll need to save, and how much you can borrow.

If you are looking for your first new home at Fleet Mill, you could benefit from the Government’s Help to Buy Equity Loan scheme, but reservations need to be made by 31st October.

The Help to Buy Equity Loan scheme allows first-time buyers to purchase with just a 5% deposit, the Government then lends up to 20% of the sale price, which leaves 75% for a mortgage. The 20% loan is interest-free for five years and has to be repaid upon the sale of the property at the value of the sale, so the minimum repayment will be the initial value borrowed but that will rise in line with the value of the home.

Current prices at Fleet Mill start at £219,950, which with the Help to Buy scheme means you could be reserving your brand-new apartment with a deposit of £10,997.50.

First-time buyers will also benefit from paying no stamp duty on the entire development. If you’re not a first-time buyer, all of the apartments will also fall into the Stamp Duty cap of £425,000, requiring no stamp duty paid.

The sales team, Toni and Valerie would be delighted to show you around the development by appointment or drop in to see them at our Fleet branch on the high street.
