In a nationwide survey, Farnborough has been found to be one of Britain’s best commuter hotspots for 2016. The town presented stiff competition, as it consistently delivers efficient, cost-effective and reliable rail services, consequently charting the second best commuter town for London access.

Farnborough, a town with a proud aviation history and thriving prospects,  is set to be rejuvenated by a £250million investment that is in the pipeline. The blossoming town is set along the fringes of Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire, and is exceptionally well positioned for road links to London. With the M3 and major road links all within easy distance, Farnborough serves an easy commute to larger cities including, Reading, Basingstoke and Guildford. Findings of the rail services highlighted the average interval between trains being just 12 minutes and the journey to London lasting 38 minutes, giving you enough time to manage your emails. The service was deemed to be reliable with regular trainAugust - Andy McKenna, Farnborough Air Ship Hanger services and ability to find a seat. The overall performance of the trains measured an impressive 90.30%, in terms of consistent reliability. The town was also noted for its cost effectiveness, with an annual cost of train tickets amounting to £4,703 in addition to the annual cost of parking at the station accounted as £1,100. The average house price here, in comparison to other popular commuter towns, was also remarkably low, standing at an average of £279,730.

With this in mind, Farnborough has proved itself as a town worthy of a sound property investment or a suitable commuter pad.  We have put together a compilation of a few stylish apartments currently available to let within the Farnborough vicinity, all just a short stroll from the station.
