Frimley Lodge Park
Covering 24 hectares, Frimley Lodge Park is a stunning lakeside park awarded the Green Flag for more than two decades.
Here you’ll find woodland trails, wildflower meadows, fitness trails, two children’s playgrounds, a miniature railway, football and cricket pitches, plus a pitch‑and‑putt course. A café and lakeside paths by the Basingstoke Canal make it superb for families, dog‑walkers and sports fans.
Watchmoor Reserve & Blackwater Park
Situated behind Sainsbury’s roundabout, Watchmoor Reserve is a 13‑acre haven created in 1992. With three ponds, reed beds, a wildlife island, a butterfly habitat, sculptures and an outdoor classroom, it’s thriving with woodland creatures — including deer.
Across the Blackwater River, Blackwater Park adds picnic lawns and meandering water‑side paths — great for gentle rambles with a coffee.
Heathland at Brentmoor, Barossa, Poor’s Allotment

Home to grass snakes and Dartford warblers, Brentmoor Heath spans nearly 29 hectares of sandy heathland, woodland and ponds, whilst Barossa extends to about 498 hectares, offering vast pine and dry heathlands, notable for nightjars and night wildlife spots. At 76 hectares, Poor’s Allotment features heath, scrub and woods to explore, offering peaceful footpaths and rich in biodiversity.
Camberley Park
Just behind the council offices, library and theatre lies Camberley Park, a leafy sanctuary right next to the iconic, Grade II listed Obelisk. With an expanse of open lawn, a fenced play area, open fitness trail and benches it’s an ideal spot for a picnic or for simply letting the children blow off some steam.
Lightwater Country Park
A 59‑hectare mix of heathland, ponds, woodland and open meadows with a lake makes Lightwater Country Park perfect for picnics and feeding the ducks. With flat easy trails, a café onsite and reputable pubs just outside, it’s especially handy for cyclists and young families with pushchairs.
Frimley Green Recreation Ground
Located in Frimley Green village, this Recreation Ground combines community focus with open-air recreation, earning recognition as a high-quality green space with a Green Flag Award in 2023. The well-kept grounds include football pitches, a cricket pitch, a children’s play area, and tennis courts are also available for booking. Thanks to strong local support through community funding, the grounds even include an outdoor gym.
Set beside a wooded area, the space attracts many families, sports teams and dog-walkers, offering a friendly atmosphere.
Windlemere SANG
Once the Windlemere Golf Club, this Green Flag Awarded (2023) 15-hectare Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG) was re‑wilded to encourage biodiversity. Visitors can immerse themselves within three wildflower meadows and a wildflower bank through a 2.3 km circular walk, along with ponds fenced off for Great Crested Newts, and woodland edges where Roe Deer are sometimes spotted. be seen.
