The Government has introduced an ‘Official Information Sheet’, which must be provided to tenants as part of the new legislation. To help ensure you remain fully compliant and up to date, we’ll be issuing this directly to you, along with guidance on what it means in practice. For landlords covered under our comprehensive package, we will ensure that the Information Sheet is given to your tenants.
What does it cover?
The document outlines the main changes tenants can expect under the new Act, including updates around Section 21 notices, rent increases, fixed-term tenancies and how tenancies can be ended. It also touches on specific areas such as tenants’ rights to keep pets.
Who does it apply to?
The requirement applies to assured shorthold tenancies, including those created before 1 May 2026, as well as any tenancy with written terms.
Whilst this may feel like another administrative step, it forms part of a wider shift in the lettings landscape. For landlords, staying informed and ensuring the correct processes are followed will be key to navigating the changes smoothly.
