Known within the company as someone always keen on a challenge, our Land Director, Katherine Gray, is taking on an incredible marathon task – 10 back-to-back marathons, part of The Great Barrows Challenge 2019 in Bury St Edmunds.

To complete the full 10 marathons, Katherine and her twin sister Katrina will be taking five different routes, repeated twice across the picturesque Suffolk countryside.

Katherine commences her challenge on 27th June to start the 262 total miles, lasting for what will undoubtedly be a gruelling ten days.

To many of us, a challenge like this might sound crazy, but Katherine is no stranger to running and demonstrates great determination, having previously completed six marathons, a half Iron Man and a cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats, to name just a few.

This time, Katherine and Katrina are running to raise funds for Dementia UK, a cause close to both of their hearts.

Katherine is modest about her pursuits, not seeing herself as particularly athletic. She does not expect the challenge to be easy but, given all her training to date, is very positive that she can do it.

“You just have to pace yourself – It is a marathon not a sprint after all – I have no doubt that it will all be worth it when we finish!”

We wish them both the very best of luck and look forward to seeing the medals on completion of what will no doubt be a sporting event to remember!
