christmas-marketIt seems earlier than ever, but with I’m a Celeb on the tele, John Lewis pulling at everyone’s heartstrings and the Coca Cola truck starting it’s engine, the Christmas season is almost here.

We’re very lucky to have some fantastic events taking place between now and Christmas, with the new addition from Farnborough likely to be a great day out. So if you’re ready to start getting into the spirit, the following events are sure to get you feeling festive.

snowglobeWednesday 23rd November 3pm – 9pm : Fleet Christmas Festival

Fleet are kicking Christmas off in style with the annual street festival. From 3pm there will be road closures in place so that the town centre can become a Winter Wonderland. There will be a Christmas market of over 100 stalls to start your Christmas shopping, a giant snowglobe that you can be photographed inside of, live entertainment from local musicians across three stages, a reindeer rodeo, the Dallas donkeys – real life donkeys, and the cast of the Harlington’s Panto will be switching on the town lights. Saturday 26th November 11am – 6pm: Farnborough Frost Fair

ice-rinkAs part of Farnborough’s countdown to Christmas, the frost fair takes place in the town centre, offering a great family day out. We’re proud to sponsor this event, bringing festive spirit to the town centre and supporting local businesses. There will be an outdoor ice rink, street performers, live music, handmade gifts and food from across the globe. The Princes Mead lights will also be switched on at 4.30pm by Father Christmas with some help from the stars of the Princes Hall Panto, Sleeping Beauty. Saturday 26th November 2pm onwards: Ash Christmas Fantasia

The proceedings will start in the Ash Centre at 2:00pm. There will be the usual stalls, which this year will include a fabulous Tombola, run by Ash Parish Council staff, a cake stall supplied and run by Ash Parish Councillors to name but two of the many different and diverse stalls. Starting at 4:30pm there will be Carol Singing around the Christmas Tree on Ash Wharf. At 5.00pm Father Christmas will arrive at the Wharf, with his band of “jolly” helpers to switch on the Christmas tree lights and distribute sweets to the children gathered around the tree. The festivities will end with everyone being invited back to the Ash Centre for mulled wine and mince pies. For more information click here.

Thursday 1st December 4pm – 8pm: Hartley Wintney Christmas Market

mulled-wineStreet closures will be in place so that the village can transform once again into the Christmas market. Alongside stalls selling gifts, crafts, food and drink there will also be fairground rides, and a tombola, with the Cricket Club also hosting an extension of the market. Hartley Wintney is a wonderful place during Christmas, this event starts the season well. We will also be opening our doors to welcome the community and our clients with mince pies and refreshments, there will also be a chance for the children to enter our colouring competition, please do pop by and say hello.  Saturday 3rd December 5pm – 8.30pm: Hook Christmas Cracker

We’re thrilled to sponsor this fantastic event once again as one of the village’s annual highlights. The fun starts at 5:00pm when Hook comes alive with Christmas spirit with shops and pubs open, some of them serving free nibbles and tipples, a stage set up in Station Road with lots to see, street entertainers and Morris Men showing off their skills as well as a fantastic Christmas Market and Walls Funfair with great rides for all the family!
