Now that we’re all back into the swing of things, with breakfasts of Quality Street and losing track of what day it is long behind us, how has the year started for the local property market?
In one word, busy.
This is not so much a “blow your own trumpet” insight, as looking at Rightmove statistics, our competitors are doing well also, but given the strong amount of negative press at the industry as a whole, albeit not targeted locally, we thought it about time to shed some light on the facts.
Looking back at January 2018, our sales performance in comparison has not diminished, more importantly, buyer activity has increased significantly.
Since December, the market has significantly increased, we’ve so far booked 170% more viewings, with over a week of the month left to go, we’ve registered 81% more applicants and received 104% more offers. The buyers are here, they’re looking and they’re offering.
We’re also seeing some great new homes being brought to the market, with 194% more valuations booked so far this month and 44% more homes introduced to the market.
There are clearly buyers out there, making it a great time to consider coming to the market with the right price and the right marketing strategy.
