Here at Mackenzie Smith, our dedicated team are what really sets us apart. If you’ve done business with us before, you’ll know how hard we work, both as individuals and as a team, to collectively ensure that our reputation precedes us, and to which our Trustpilot reviews are testament.
With that in mind, we take time every other week to shine the spotlight on the dedicated individuals within the team. This week, we’d like to introduce Justin Smith, our Senior Client Manager in Fleet.
Justin shares quite a past with Mackenzie Smith, having originally joined us over 20 years ago, making him one of our longest serving agents.
Justin first started in Fleet, where he is based today, but spent a large portion of his time at our Farnborough branch, before moving to Hook when we opened there.
Like many agents, it was the industry perks that first drew Justin to a career in estate agency, “my friends became estate agents, it was the chance of getting a company escort car and, if you were lucky, it would have electric windows!” These days, it is the day-to-day activities that remain the favoured aspect of the job for Justin. “From initially winning the instruction, to agreeing a sale and completing on the contract, being able to provide our clients with sound advice and seeing them through to completion makes for a job thoroughly worthwhile.”
Having worked with Mackenzie Smith for the majority of his career, it was the initial introduction that set the level of expectation for what was to follow. “You didn’t choose whether you wanted to join Mackenzie Smith, you were chosen. When I first met Ed it was easy to see why the company was, and still is, so successful, there is so much passion and desire to succeed.”
Across his time at the company, having worked in a variety of branches, you might have thought it would be tricky for Justin to choose one particular sale as his most memorable, but as an avid Reading FC supporter, it was an easy choice. “Back when I was working in Hook, a client of mine happened to be a good friend of the legend, Graeme Murty, the former Reading FC Captain. It’s a sale I’ll never forget as my client arranged for Graeme to visit the office one day to drop off a signed Reading shirt from all of the 04/05 players.”
Reading FC is a real passion of Justin’s, and he often takes his son, Saul or on occasion, his daughter, Ellis, to the matches. When he isn’t supporting his team or his branch colleagues, Justin can be found with Alfie, his dog, walking around Fleet pond. “Having lived in Fleet for over 20 years, it’s a fantastic place to call home, the local community and residents make it a great place to live.”
If you would like to speak with Justin or our team at Fleet about the sale of your home, or would like any information regarding our services, please contact the Fleet branch on (01252) 812121, or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
