Regulations have recently been passed in Parliament stating that by the 1st October, each floor of a rental property must have a working smoke alarm, and that living spaces with solid fuel appliances must have a carbon monoxide alarm.
While previously it has always been advisable to install such alarms, it has not been law until now.
As an ARLA accredited agent and member, here at Mackenzie Smith we have of course ensured that all our rental properties have smoke and carbon monoxide alarms installed in the relevant places for the security and peace of mind of all our landlords and tenants.
