Traitor or faithful?

Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, Gothic style BBC series Traitors shows just how far contestants are prepared to go to win up to £120,000.

Contestants either play a “Faithful” or a “Traitor.” With traitors having the power to secretly eliminate the faithfuls from the competition, they must form intricate strategies. If the faithfuls spot a traitor, they will banish them from the game. If at the end any traitors remain, they take home all of the prize money.

If you’re already a fan, you’ve likely thought about which role you would play. Would you enjoy the thrill of a traitor’s power rush? Do you have their strategy and thought? Perhaps you think being a faithful is best, with honest, genuine allegiances, the space to be true to yourself, and most of all, to be somebody people can trust.

Watching Traitors, you might agree, it looks like fun to play the villain. However, even the chosen traitors notice the responsibility weighing on them, as they manipulate the outcome of peoples’ lives in the competition.
