People looking to move locally are finding a distinct lack of properties available to either buy or rent!

We have always seen a strong demand for good quality properties to rent in our area but the upturn in the economy has seen a huge increase in the demand.

It is very frustrating when excellent quality applicants register looking for rented accommodation only to find that we have very little to offer them.

These applicants should in theory have a selection of properties to choose from but in each case we are struggling to find something suitable.

  • We have a couple coming back to the UK from America looking to rent somewhere on the Hampshire/Surrey boarders before they settle on a property to buy. They are expecting their first baby and need a ground floor flat or small house with a garden, ideally furnished. They have a budget of £900 pcm and need somewhere at the end of April.
  • The second couple are moving from France and have set their hearts on living in Hartley Wintney. They have managed to get the children into the local schools and now urgently need a place to live. With a budget of £2000 pcm it should be easy enough but due to the lack of property available they are struggling to find something.
  • Lastly we have the Vice President of a major American company currently living in Ireland, relocating to the UK in June and looking for a substantial home for himself, his wife and the Labrador! As long as the property has fairly good access to Heathrow our client is flexible on areas but is looking for a top quality home up to £3000 pcm.

 This is of course very good news if you happen to be thinking of letting your property or buying an investment property to let out.
