With the school holidays in full swing and a four day weekend upon us, we’ve taken a look at some highlights coming up this weekend, to keep you and the family busy and hopefully enjoying the sunny forecasted weather!

Pop to the reputable Mill House in North Warnborough, Hook who are hosting a whole range of events this Easter weekend, from a popular Gin and Tonic night, strictly for the adults, to an Easter Egg Hunt accompanied by a Sunday roast dinner, to a Charity Duck Race for children of all ages on Easter Monday. Don’t forget to reserve your places!

If you are more local to Fleet, the four star rated Heron on the Lake is also offering a special Easter roast dinner, whilst Oakley Park is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday with more information available by phone on 01252 617321 or email, oakleypark@live.co.uk.

Buckleberry Farm will be holding an Easter Eggs-travaganza throughout the Easter holidays, where children can not only search for Giant Easter Eggs, but can also feed the orphaned lambs.

In Sherfield-on-Loddon, Hook, Happy Faces Playgroup is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt for children of all ages on Good Friday, starting bright and chirpy at 10am with the last entry at 11:30. Contestants will just have to follow the clues with the group to find the eggs!

The Vyne in Sherbourne St John is hosting a Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt all of the Easter week, with tickets for trails going at just £3 each until 3pm. This is a popular event, with dogs on a leash also welcome. Collect your prize by 4pm!

For something a little different, try Alice Holt’s Fantastic Forest Craft Club on the 18th April, giving the opportunity for guided exploration and games around the forest, all teaching your child something new about nature with fun. At the end of the club be ready to receive gifts of pinecone animals or possibly dream catchers from your children, unless they like them too much to part with them!

Tired of all of the sweet stuff? Why not take a stroll in the great outdoors to work off some of those extra calories from all of that tempting chocolate this time of year, whilst letting the children work off some steam and get a bit of sunshine away from their gadgets and consoles! There are a variety of local woods nearby to explore, as per the Woodland Trust, who are also seeking young Nature Detectives for as little as £1.50 per month and offering family membership from just £5 pcm, with a welcome pack which will enable you and your children to get back to your roots, identify a variety of trees and explore nature together this Easter.

However you spend it, we hope you all have a wonderful break. We will be closed on Friday 19th and Monday 22nd April, but otherwise open as usual, including Saturday 20th, 9am – 5pm.
