The recent Jazz concert at Christ Church in aid of Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice and sponsored by Mackenzie Smith on Friday 11th April, was a great success.

JazzDuophoto 110414_webThe highly reputed musicians attracted a sell out audience, who were captivated and highly entertained as Alan Barnes and David Newton, two of the best jazz musicians in the country, performed as a duo on Clarinet/ Saxophone and Piano.

The event in Church Crookham raised £2200 all of which goes to the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice which is the only adult Hospice caring for terminally ill people and their families across the whole of West Surrey and part of North East Hampshire.

The next fund raising event held for Phyllis Tuckwell is a Literary Lunch at the Meade Hall in Minley, on Monday 12 May, where local crime writer Matthew Pritchard will share his journey to becoming a published author and discuss his latest books ‘Scarecrow’ and ‘Warewolf’.
