The talented crew of Hook Players are once again set for an entertaining voyage this fortnight (29th – 30th November, 6th – 7th December).

The tale of their latest pantomime, Treasure Island, is one we all know well, or do we?

Did you know that The Smuggler’s Cove branch of the Women’s’ Institute in Bristol were part of the crew that set sail in The Hispaniola, bound for the Caribbean Islands?

Did you know that the landlady of “The Admiral Benbow” Inn hid the treasure map in her bodice?

Did you know that some pirates are women and some men are members of the W.I.?

All this and much, much more will be revealed in Hook Players’ upcoming pantomime.

Will Jenny be allowed by her father Squire Trelawney to join the ship? Will she marry Jim? (of course she will!). Will the scarf ever be finished? What is in the Treasure chest, if indeed it is found, (of course it will!)

It’s a show with something for everyone of all ages. A hero, pirates, a lovely heroine, cakes, more pirates, adventures on the high seas, romance, danger, skullduggery, even more pirates, great songs –  you’ll be expected to join in – oh yes you will! –  a dame who ought to know better (and probably does!), loads of pirates, castaways, tropical havens – it’s all there.

Join Hook Players for a lovely pre Christmas treat, with pirates.
