This coming Sunday, why not head outdoors and support a numerous variety of charities at the same time, with a visit to the delightful Shere Open Gardens, open from 2-6pm.
With a generous thirty gardens and displays open to the public, there will be something to everybody’s taste, featured within traditional, quintessentially English gardens.
Enjoy the romance of attractive courtyard gardens with impressive potted blooms; experience the sweetness of nostalgia in cottage gardens filled with roses and appreciate the modern eloquence of landscaped gardens. New gardens previously unseen by the public will also be available.
The afternoon is complete with a plant sale, tea and coffee available, as well as a summer favourite, a Pimm’s Tent!
Proceeds will go to a broad variety of local causes; from the Toddler Group and Shere School, to the Cherry Trees Respite Care in West Horsley.
Free parking is provided and tickets are for sale from 1.30pm on the day at £7 for adults, £6 for senior citizens and free entry for those under 16.
Add a bit of beauty to your Sunday afternoon with a visit to Shere Open Gardens – you never know what ideas you might bring home to your own.
