Here at Mackenzie Smith, we’re lucky to work with some of the most reputable and experienced developers to offer a wide selection of new build homes across the region.
When it comes to stepping on to the housing ladder, there are many opportunities to consider. Last week we featured the new Lifetime ISA vs Help to Buy ISA, one concept that is probably the most recognisable scheme to assist First Time Buyers is Help to Buy.
Help to Buy has expanded, but the product that most would identify is the Help to Buy: Equity loan. With this popular scheme, the Government lends you up to 20% of the cost of a brand new home, meaning you only need a 5% deposit and a 75% mortgage to purchase. This is a great way to get on the housing ladder, but upon selling the Government will require a 20% return on their investment from the sale price.
House builders will often apply for an allocation of Help to Buy, and whilst not all developers will offer this as an option, we currently have three new build sites that have this available.
Over in Hook, Providence House, a development of 107 apartments is offering Help to Buy. Providence House offers studio, 1 and 2 bedroom apartments across three floors in the heart of Hook. With chic and contemporary styles, spacious open plan layouts and brand new kitchens with integrated appliances. Each apartment will be finished to the same high standard as our show apartment and comes with the added benefits of allocated parking and a resident’s gym. We have an Open House event coming up on 22nd April, to book a viewing please call our Hook branch on 01256 764666 or e-mail email@example.com. For further details on Providence House, click here.
On the outskirts of Fleet, in Church Crookham, Blue Prior, a new site from renowned developers TA Fisher, offers 13 exclusive homes ranging from 2-4 bedrooms. As such a select site, Help to Buy is not available on each property, but there have been two allocated, with Help to Buy available on plots 3 and 6; a four bedroom link-detached home and a two bedroom semi-detached home. Located in an area that’s both close to the countryside and convenient for the city, and finished to an exceptionally high standard, these homes are proving popular and are likely to sell fast. You can arrange a viewing through our Fleet branch on 01252 812121 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org, further details are available on our website.
Our final Help to Buy option comes from well known Bellway Homes, who are currently working on Maida in Wellesley, Aldershot. Maida is a development of one and two bedroom apartments and 2,3,4 and 5 bedroom new homes. Wellesley is a new community that is ideally situated for links to Farnham, Farnborough, Woking and Guildford with easy access to the M3, A31 and M25 with Aldershot station just 10 minutes down the road. This ideal location finds a wide selection of homes that are currently being released in phases of construction, offering classic styles and contemporary layouts. To book a viewing please contact our Ash Vale branch on 01252 353030 or e-mail email@example.com. Full details can be found here.
