2,000 homebuyers were surveyed recently to reveal the ‘average UK Homebuyer in 2015’.
The survey uncovered that the average UK homebuyer has a budget of £205,221, is most likely to buy a three bedroom semi-detached home and has owned two properties previously.
Location was cited as most important for 65% of those surveyed, with number of bedrooms (56%) and garden size (41%) following closely behind. Other considerations include layout (34%), kitchen-diners are prized with 29% of people tempted and a good local pub important for 23%, more so for younger buyers.
Three bedroom properties were coveted by 45% of those surveyed whilst 27% favour a two bedroom property.
