Rightmove has also reported record-breaking activity levels during September, with agreed sales up an incredible 70% on September 2019.

There are also 66% more active buyers than last year, with sales agreed for October an impressive 58% higher than last year. Rightmove has also experienced a jump in online traffic approaching 50% compared to last year.

Despite the unusual environment created by Covid restrictions, it seems that the housing market is doing extremely well, encouraged by the Stamp Duty Holiday as well as house buyers looking for a prompt move.

Across our branch network, we are definitely seeing this trend locally; buyers are looking to move in time for the stamp duty holiday with a proactive market and strong decision-making process, there’s noticeably less deliberation and more driven, targeted househunting taking place.
