No pub, no problem

February 04, 2021

Two of the most recent sales from our Ash Vale branch shared a common feature, a pub replacement in the back garden.

Both properties came under offer exceptionally quickly, “apparently if you want your home to sell, you need a pub in the garden" Nick Kirby, Senior Client Manager.

9 Loman Road in Mytchett and 111 South Lane in Ash, both had offers accepted within a week of being launched on the market, with qualified covid-safe viewings having taken place.

Loman Road, a four-bedroom family home, had benefited from an extension and renovation, with many improvements from the current owners, including the addition of a garden cabin and fully fitted BBQ area – the perfect space to entertain once lockdown is lifted or to simply enjoy with the family.

South Lane, another four bedroom family home, offered great internal reception space, but with the added bonus of a garden room with bi-folding doors to decking, currently kitted out with a bar and soft seating area.

The speedy sales achieved on these properties, in particular, reflects the changing needs from buyers; whether people need that extra bit of space, a study, a garden, simply a change of scene or, in this case, a pub at home to make up for the current closures!

If you’re looking for a home with a difference, or are considering placing yours on the market, do give our team a call who will be happy to talk through the current market conditions and how we’re working to keep our clients safe at this time.
