As part of our full Management Service we inspect our client’s properties every three months looking for maintenance issues or repairs that might be needed. At this time of year it is particularly important, due to possible condensation issues caused by lack of ventilation.
As part of these inspections we do advise tenants that if there is a condensation issue, the likely cause is lack of ventilation which can be easily remedied.
We usually find condensation is an issue where tenants keep the windows closed all the times, even when showering and cooking. This of course prevents the moisture from escaping causing condensation which can lead to mould.
For those landlords managing their property themselves it is always a good idea to regularly inspect as this usually prevents problems from arising in the first place but at this time of year it is essential to make sure condensation is not an issue.
