Lockdown update from our Chairman

January 05, 2021

Following last night’s announcement of the new lockdown, effective immediately, we wanted to reassure you of our plans.

Government has confirmed that house moves can go ahead, and the housing market will remain open throughout the lockdown period.

Renters and homeowners can still move and view property.
Removal firms and estate agents can stay open.
Construction sites can continue.
Tradespeople can enter homes.

Keeping the housing market open will help those already on the market and in the process of buying and selling, however, the fact that we can stay open means we must take extra care and remain vigilant in the efforts to keep colleagues, clients, and our local communities safe.

.

We will continue to review and apply covid measures and would ask that you please make yourselves familiar with these, https://www.mackenziesmith.co.uk/covid-19-safety-guidelines/

The key criteria which we will be asking people to adhere to is to ensure they are wearing face coverings, social distancing, maximum of 2 people viewing and homeowners must stay distant or out of the home when viewings take place, but please do visit our website for full details to ensure we can all stay safe, responsible and within the guidelines of this third lockdown.

If your home is on the market with us and you are now shielding, please let us know as soon as convenient.

Stay safe, stay positive, and please do get in touch if we can offer any support during this time.

Ed Mackenzie Smith

Chairman
