Mytchett is a small village in Surrey approximately 35 miles south west of London. The village is approximately 2 miles long, but is constrained to the north by the South Western Main Line, to the east by the Basingstoke Canal and west by the River Blackwater, meaning the village is only around 3/4 of a mile wide. Less from 15 minutes from the M3 and a short drive or bus to Farnborough North and Mainline train station the village is ideally positioned for commuters.

About Mytchett

Traditionally the village centre is at Mytchett Crossroads where the community centre was erected in the late 1980s and a short distance away is Mytchett Primary School located in Hamesmoor Road. At the end of Coleford Bridge road is The Quays which has a perfect location on the lakeside, in a residential area just outside Camberley, there are wonderful views of the lake with water sports going on throughout the day from the garden and the bar. Many events in the village centre around the local Community Centre. Mytchett Athletic FC was founded in 1971 and currently has more than 25 teams from the under 5’s and under 6’s to adult league teams. The Football Club was awarded a Surrey Heath Sports Award: Sports Club of the Year in 2010.

Mytchett Kendo Club is a member of the British Kendo Association, club members meet weekly at The Mytchett Centre. The village has a nursery and primary school.
