We’re thrilled to be joining Aldershot Garrison Sports Centre, Aspire Defence for a Guinness World Record Attempt in support of BBC Children in Need.

From midday Thursday to midday Friday, we will be attempting to break the Guinness World Record for Most Electrical Energy Produced by Pedalling on Static Bicycles for 24 hours. Before you start to think we’ve completely lost our minds, we won’t be cycling for the full 24 hours but will be part of a team of volunteers.

The bicycles used can record the wattage generated, with the target of breaking the current record held at 72,414 watts. To put it into context, it would be enough energy for almost 16 homes for a full year.

Whilst our team are hoping to cycle their way into the record books, we are of course doing this for a very important cause. Each year, BBC Children in Need raise an exceptional amount to help make a real difference to the lives of children all across the UK. With a vision of ensuring that every single child in the UK is safe, happy, secure and has a chance to reach their full potential, it’s a cause we are only too happy to support.

Every penny truly does make a difference, so please help us in supporting the work of this excellent charity, click here to make a donation.

Keep an eye on our social media pages over the coming weeks to see how our team get on during their record breaking attempt!
