One of the main reasons I would buy this home is because of the way the accommodation has been configured.
We believe the house dates back well over 100 years and so like a lot of old houses from this era, the bathroom before the renovation was located off the back of the kitchen on the ground floor.
This isn’t the ideal place for it to be and so with a bit of ‘tinkering’ with the space upstairs the seller was able to move the bathroom to the first floor which in my view works much better. The other benefit of relocating the bathroom is that it has created an open plan dining space off the kitchen which now has French doors leading out to the garden, a really nice touch.
Another new major improvement to the house is the addition of an extra room in the attic which has created a really decent, usable space that could be used as a bedroom, study, playroom or whatever else people would want it for.
In my opinion, for young families the location is a big selling point too because directly across the road from the house is a children’s play park and just a further 5 minutes walk up the road is an excellent rated primary school and a nice, family friendly pub which serves good food.
