The people in our business are what make us different, they embody the principles we strive to achieve and are crucial in representing our ethos and beliefs. You place a huge amount of trust in our team, so it’s time you got to know them! This week we’re introducing our newest recruit, Lucie Macdonald.
Lucie joined our Fleet branch two months ago as our Sales Assistant, a brand new role to get stuck into. Whilst Lucie only joined us recently, her agency experience dates back to 2012. “I started working in an estate agency on Saturdays after my second child was born. Over time I took on more hours, working a couple days a week covering the Hartley Wintney and Yateley offices.”
It’s no surprise that Lucie joined this industry as her husband has worked within estate agencies for over 20 years. “He was the Manager of the Hartley Wintney branch when the Saturday position became available, it seemed a perfect opportunity. The business has always interested me, even from a very young age when I lived with my parents. When they sold their house I loved going on viewings. Now that it’s my place of work, I absolutely love helping people find their dream home, the ability to assist people in this hugely important task is so rewarding.”
With previous experience in other agencies, it was our reputation that drew Lucie to Mackenzie Smith. “I had heard nothing but good things about the company from colleagues within the industry, which says something! Mackenzie Smith’s fantastic reputation for excellent customer service, experienced agents and the independent nature of the business makes it a friendly place to work in.”
The Sales Assistant role within the Fleet branch is a brand new position, designed to help our Senior Client Managers in the bookings of viewings, contacting potential buyers and streamlining the communication process, along with utilising agency skills and experience to find potential homes for buyers.
Lucie certainly has knowledge of our branch towns, having worked in the area for five years, but was relatively new to Fleet. “Although you’re in a town with good shops, restaurants and nightlife, you are still close to nature with great areas for walking and exploring, such as Fleet Pond and the local nature reserves.”
When Lucie isn’t assisting our Sales in Fleet, she takes on another very important role as Mum to two wonderful children, and has a love of travel, fashion and beauty.
