Everybody knows that North Hampshire is one of the most desirable places to live in the UK but we have been surprised at just how many tenants love Hampshire and choose to live in the area.
Covering Ash Vale, Farnborough, Fleet, Hartley Wintney and Hook it is interesting to see that 71% of the properties we have let this year have been in the East of our area we cover and a staggering 50% in Hartley Wintney and Hook.
Tenants are pinpointing this part of North Hampshire not only because of the comprehensive road and rail links to London but also to be close to the multinational companies that have based themselves locally.
We have seen tenants renting in these areas to be closer to companies like Virgin Media in Hook and we have also seen tenants that have been living and working in London, now looking for a better quality of life and identifying places like Hartley Wintney as being the quintessential English village whilst still being accessible to London.
It is interesting to see that it is not only the single professionals wanting to rent in these areas but families are also renting here too being drawn by the many highly rated schools that we have locally.
This is good news for investment landlords and also good news for those people wanting to rent out their family home while they themselves re-locate either within the UK or overseas.
It is easy to take for granted just how convenient our area is. You don’t have to travel for much over an hour to reach a variety of major towns including London and yet we have so much fantastic scenery and picturesque villages on our doorstep.
It’s not hard to see why more and more tenants want to rent locally and it looks like this demand is set to continue during 2014.
