I’m pleased to report the the rental market is as strong as ever and I expect demand to continue throughout 2014.
January has been an excellent month for us with many properties letting immediately they come to the market.
Rental values are remaining strong, the nataional average asking rent peaking at £986 per month in November 2013, at a time when rents typically dip pre-Christmas, and are set to rise*.
Our biggest problem is lack of available stock, for every property we let we have at least one disapointed applicant who missed out.
This is great news for investment landlords looking to start or increase their portfolio of properties and the up turn in the housing market has tempted many new landlords to invest as an alternative pension plan.
