There is currently a shortage of family housing in the Ash Vale area. The area has become more and more popular with house buyers who appreciate its location and easy access to London via the A3 and M3. The area is surrounded by beautiful countryside, particularly the areas straddling the Hog’s Back linking Farnham and Guildford.
Despite negative media commentary about the housing market, there is still a healthy demand for property and vendors who may have some doubts about their ability to sell in the current market can be re-assured there is still a strong market with healthy demand from buyers looking to move to the area. The key is to market the property at an accurate price in order that good buyers are not dissuaded from booking a viewing to see the property.
There is evidence of some property staying on the market and this, in most cases, is as a result of over valuation and too much ambition with regards to the marketing price. Compared to the amount of property on the market a few years’ ago and despite current economic difficulties, there is still a relative shortage of good quality property in the area, but buyers need to be re-assured that the prices quoted are accurate and reflect the real value in today’s market.
