This week we held our company conference at the exquisite Elvetham Hotel. As our year runs February to February, this provided the perfect opportunity to look at the year that’s been.
The library within the Elvetham provided the perfect backdrop for our teams to gather together for a look back at the past year and an insight into what the next 12 months hold for the company. All staff were invited across our six branch network, Lettings, Land and the central Head Office, with Saturday team members and part-time staff encouraged to join us so that all can be involved in celebrating successes and highlighting future strategies.
Our Sales Director, Steve Tetlow, chaired the conference, providing a thorough look back at a memorable year at Mackenzie Smith. Over the past year we’ve not only celebrated our 25th anniversary and the opening of our Yateley branch but have also seen some great progress across our branches and various departments, with plenty to be acknowledged.
The individual department managers were invited to present their review of 2017; our success, challenges and what we plan for the next year, with a real varied take on the local markets.
We also took the time to reward the outstanding performances of 2017, with the Outstanding Team award going to the hardworking group at Farnborough who have exceeded all expectations in the past year. Individual outstanding performances also saw awards given to Branch Managers, Simon Dredge (Hook, pictured) and John Munday (Ash Vale), along with Senior Client Manager, Kris Holmes (Hook) and Assistant Branch Manager, Jason Bowden (Ash Vale).
Our conference closed with a presentation from our Managing Director, Ed Mackenzie Smith, who delivered his thoughts on the current challenges and our plan for 2018.
It is no doubt that the market continues to change swiftly, but from the messages delivered by each Manager and Director, we’re in a fantastic position to continue to evolve, ultimately aiming to provide our clients with the best service possible.
We are currently searching for potential candidates across all roles within the company, who can demonstrate initiative, confidence and an enthusiasm to share in our success as a team, whilst showcasing individual tenacity. If you’re looking for progression, we can offer a career path with options. Please contact Tracey Easton at firstname.lastname@example.org to apply or for a confidential discussion.
