Join us along with the residents and local community groups of Hartley Wintney on the Oak Common on Saturday the 10th June for the annual Village Festival.
As usual, the Rotary Club of Hart have pulled out all the stops to put on a fantastic event, free for all to attend. A great family day out, there is a variety of entertainment, stalls and refreshments lined up for the day, which we are proud to sponsor.
The day begins at 12.30pm with the fantastic float procession around the Village Green, the theme for this year is Disney, so is bound to be full of colour and imagination and perfect for the children. Followed by the traditional performance by the Morris Men, the popular and highly contested Tug of War and a variety of children’s races.
Outside the central arena, the afternoon’s entertainment will offer up a Spider Mountain climbing tower, Punch & Judy, an animal corner, bouncy castle, sumo wrestling, beat the goalie, a mini fairground and much more.
This quintessential British village event has a variety of country activities along with the popular display of classic motor vehicles.
The event is supported by a wide selection of local groups and charities who will offer up a range of stalls, some offering cakes, teas and ice-creams along with the beer tent. We’re pleased to sponsor the BBQ tent, where the ladies from the Inner Wheel Club of Hart will be serving up freshly cooked burgers and sausages.
A festival programme is available for just £1, which in addition to the collections made from the procession, will go to St Michael’s Hospice. All other surplus funds will go to local and international well deserving causes. Programmes will be sold door to door, but can also be bought in Odiham High Street and Waitrose, Yateley on 2nd June and on Hartley Wintney High Street on the day of the festival
