Fleet and Yateley house prices rose by 17% in four years the local press have reported.

Based on Land Registry data the North East Hampshire Constituency, which includes Elvetham Heath, Fleet, Hartley Wintney, Hook, Odiham and Yateley, the area has felt a biggest increase since 2010 than neighbouring constituency areas; median house price rising from £284,000 in 2010 to £332,500 in 2014.

This brings the average cost of a home up from 7.4 times the average annual wage of workers in the constituency in 2010 to 9.5 times the average annual salary in 2014; an increase of 28.8%.

Neighbouring constituencies Land Registry shows:

  • Surrey Heath Constituency average house price rise from £250,000 in 2010 to £297,000 in 2014.
  • Aldershot constituency, the average house price has risen from £205,000 in 2010 to £232,000 in 2014.
  • South West Surrey constituency, which covers Farnham, average house price rise from £320,000 in 2010 to £355,000 in 2014.
  • Bracknell constituency, average house price rise £233,750 in 2010 to £265,000 in 2014.
