The history of the area is dominated by the world renowned Farnborough Airfield.  It has a long tradition of being at the centre of aeronautical industry, being the home of the first flight in Britain.  With the International Air Show being held at Farnborough every two years, Farnborough is a thriving business community also bolstered by the multi-million pound redevelopment of the town centre.
