Congratulations to everyone who took part in this year’s Hook Fun Run and Road Race on Sunday 17th May.
All routes set off and finish at Hook Junior School. The 2.5 mile route takes in an anticlockwise circuit of the village out past Hook train station, towards the M3, through Bartley Wood Business Park along Griffin Way South back up to the A30 London Road, through the village centre and back to the school.
The 6 mile route extends on the 2.5 mile route, continuing west along the A30 then turning left at The Hogget junction back towards Hook, through Hook Common, back to the business park to complete a second circuit of the village.
The 10 mile route starts with the circuit of the village then extends north for a pleasant scenic route through Hampshire countryside, up to the village of Rotherwick, then returns southwards past Tylney Hall and Tylney Park Golf Club to Newnham, re-joining the A30 London road by the War Memorial, continuing to head away from Hook to The Hoggett Junction and re-joining the 6 mile route for the final circuit of the village to the finish line.
We hope you saw our ‘Caution Runners’ Signs out, helping to improve safety in the ‘inner course’.
999 runners who took part in 10 mile, 6 mile or 2.5 mile road races crossed the finish line.
